Today we’re officially one week out from the primary, and I can’t get my mind off this article that Vox published a few weeks ago. What it had to say about the midterm elections here in Georgia was both frightening and hopeful — but most of all, it was accurate.

To summarize? We need a strong grassroots movement powered by folks who are tired of the GOP’s extreme antics. Will you pitch in to help us keep building on the gains we’ve made in recent years and keep Georgia BLUE this November?

Here’s why I’m so concerned: According to Vox, Republicans are concerned by Georgia’s shifts to the left in 2020 and 2021, and are gaming out how to flip the state back to red in November. So with Reverend Raphael Warnock’s U.S. Senate seat widely considered the #1 most vulnerable seat in the country, the GOP has set their sights on taking it back.

Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate is in the race, and far-right billionaires are pouring unprecedented amounts of money into the state to try and flip it back to red. They know as well as we do that if we lose Reverend Warnock’s seat, Democrats don’t just lose Georgia — we likely lose the entire Senate along with it.

And it’s not just the Senate seat on the line. The governorship is also in play, with consequences for our democracy that are bigger than at any time in modern history. That’s why we’ve got to do everything we can to keep connecting with voters and make sure Democrats turn out in DROVES, not just in November, but for our May primary AS WELL.

We’re working around the clock to do just that, but we need your help to get the job done. And with just one week left to cast a ballot in the primary, the clock is ticking!
