We're thankful for you!

CCL's work is only possible because of dedicated, passionate volunteers like you. Our staff members wanted to say thanks, so we filmed some Thanksgiving messages just for you! Follow CCL on Facebook to see and share the thank-you video on Thanksgiving tomorrow, or click here to watch a sneak peek:

Other news this week:

Conservatives on the Hill: On February 3 and 4, CCL will host a Conservative Lobby Day in Washington, D.C. This event is designed for conservatives—people who are politically right-of-center—to discuss climate action with members of Congress. Learn more or apply to attend.

Volunteer video series visits coal country: In the newest installment of CCL’s volunteer video series, we meet Mike, a volunteer from West Virginia. “I live in the heart of coal country. My neighbors, my friends, they work for the coal companies,” Mike says. Watch and share Mike’s video on CCL’s Facebook or Twitter.

Media: Local TV covers CCL event

CCL volunteers in Maine were featured in a local TV news segment when their member of Congress spoke at their event. “Rep. Chellie Pingree talked brews and climate change in Portland tonight, as part of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s celebration of greener solutions for the planet,” the journalist explains.

“We are very excited because Rep. Pingree is the first of our lawmakers to sponsor the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act,” one volunteer says. Watch the segment here.

CCL volunteers are regularly activating the “five levers” of political will in their communities. To talk with other CCLers about their media outreach and get support for your own, head to the “Working with the Media” forum on CCL Community.
