Today is the day we make history.
Right now, Kentuckians are casting their final votes in the primary before we officially become the Democratic nominee against Rand Paul.
I want you to know how proud I am of this movement. We’re building a historic coalition from the hood to the holler to transform our politics here in Kentucky and end this chapter of failed leadership under Rand Paul. No one saw us coming, but there’s no doubt they see us now.
We’re putting everything on the line today. My team and I are already out visiting the polls later and making sure everyone has what they need to make their voice heard.
Today is just the beginning of our work.
If we want to replace Rand Paul, we need to build a widespread, diverse grassroots coalition of voters. We need to organize in every corner of Kentucky and center our conversations around the challenges too many families in Kentucky face right now.
I’m ready to be that candidate. Mostly because I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle. I’ve lived in poverty. I’ve been unhoused. I’ve lost family members to gun violence. I am still paying off my student loans.
That’s why this campaign is proud to advocate for the priorities of working people. It’s clear seeing the growing momentum on the ground for our campaign that Kentucky is hungry for this kind of meaningful change. My story is the story of millions of Kentuckians who are sick and tired of politicians who continue to ignore us.
I have a feeling we’re going to give Rand Paul the shock of his life later today. But first, we have a job to do today and make sure every voter makes their voice heard. We know that some folks are going to be waiting in line for a while, so please know I appreciate you, and let us know if you need anything.
If you’re not voting today or just want to show some extra support, will you make a donation before the polls close? We want to spend as much as we can today on helping voters get to the polls and make sure they have what they need to safely cast their ballots.
I know that together, we have the power this election to replace Rand Paul and make history here in Kentucky.
We’ll send over some updates later.
Thank you for everything,
Charles
