For 40 years, Women Winning has been building a movement of more than 19,000 inspired people united in our work to recruit, train, and elect pro-choice women to all levels of public office, from park board to President of the United States. You have been alongside us in this work. And we are so grateful.

Now, with a forthcoming decision from the Supreme Court that appears to end the constitutional right to an abortion, we need you with us. At the luncheon, you will hear directly from reproductive experts, including Dr. Sarah Traxler*, Erin Maye Quade, and Rep. Kelly Morrison, as they underscore the importance of the fight we are in. These champions have dedicated their work to protecting reproductive rights and we are honored to have them with us. What we do right now impacts reproductive rights across our region for generations to come.

Dr. Sarah Traxler* (panelist) serves as Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood North Central States, overseeing all family planning and abortion services across the affiliate. She is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist. She came to Planned Parenthood after completing a two-year Fellowship in Contraceptive Research and Family Planning at the University of Pennsylvania where she also earned a Master of Science in Health Policy. Dr. Traxler spent several years working for non-profits dedicated to serving the homeless and was a strong advocate of women’s reproductive rights and health care access.

Erin Maye Quade (panelist) is a former Minnesota State Representative who was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2016. There, she quickly established herself as a candid and fierce advocate for Minnesotans championing paid family leave; expanding access to affordable child care; ending childhood hunger; eliminating gun violence; and investing in treatment for mental health and substance abuse issues. She currently serves as the Advocacy Director at Gender Justice, where she works to advance gender justice through public education, strategic partnerships and coalition-building.

Rep. Kelly Morrison (panelist) is a practicing OB-GYN and has spent her career taking care of women's reproductive health. She has also served as the secretary of the board of Planned Parenthood. She ran for office for the first time in 2018 in the wake of the 2016 presidential election because she wanted to be a voice for science and evidence based policy making and to work to bridge our political divides. She has been a productive lawmaker in Minnesota's divided legislature, and 23 of her bills have become law. She is a founder and co-chair of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus in the legislature and has been a fierce voice for reproductive justice and the protection of reproductive rights. She has chief-authored multiple bills aimed at protecting and expanding access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare for Minnesotans. Kelly is finishing her second term in the Minnesota House and is now running for the Minnesota Senate in the new district 45.
