One of my favorite parts about living in the South and working with the Campaign for Southern Equality is that no matter what the event – a backyard cookout or a protest – our community knows how to come together and show up. It’s how the CSE team has operated for the past eight years, and it’s how supporters like you engage in this vital work of building a South where LGBTQ people – and all people – can thrive. 

This Tuesday is our next chance to come together to make a difference – and I’m asking for your help. Tuesday, December 3 marks Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving to causes we care about, and I hope you’ll consider pitching in to the Campaign for Southern Equality. 

One way that you can make a huge impact on Giving Tuesday is by starting a fundraiser for CSE on your own Facebook page. It’s quick and easy and allows you to get the word out to folks who care about achieving LGBTQ equality in every sphere of life, from education to health care to legal rights. This year on Giving Tuesday, we’re especially excited because a generous donor has offered to match every dollar donated to CSE up to $18,000. Everything you raise will be automatically doubled. 

Your support is about more than funding. It’s a daily reminder for us of two things – first, the extraordinary community of people all across the country who stand with us, and second, the responsibility we have to make sure we stretch each dollar for maximal impact.
