[ [link removed] ]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

From day one of this campaign, our movement has fought to uplift the needs
and lived experiences of working people. While we’ve been able to make
progress forward, there is still so much we need to do.

We need a bigger squad in Congress who understand the realities of working
people — who have lived the struggle themselves and who are dedicated to
fighting for justice for ALL of us.

Jessica Cisneros, Summer Lee, and Nida Allam are these leaders and they
have the chance to join Alexandria in Congress. With your support, they
can be the next stage of progressive victories in the U.S. They will fight
for the transformative change that working people deserve, and that’s why
we’re asking you today to join us in supporting them before their
elections on May 17 and May 24.

We wouldn’t be asking if it weren’t important. [ [link removed] ]If you're able to, please split a
$9 donation – or whatever you can – to help power Summer
Lee, Jessica Cisneros, and Nida Allam to victory and build our progressive
coalition in Congress.

Over the last five years, our progressive movement has toppled political
regimes in St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis, Boston, New York, and beyond –
electing visionary leaders like Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar,
Ayanna Pressley, and Jamaal Bowman (just to name a few).

We know that our agenda is popular from urban to rural communities –
because healthcare for all, environmental justice, and livable wages are
for everyone, everywhere, not just people in big cities.

Here’s where they are running:

There’s so much to highlight about each of them, but to give you a
snapshot:

Summer Lee was the first Black woman from Western Pennsylvania ever
elected to the state legislature. When Summer first ran for State House in
2018, she took on a 20-year incumbent, doubled voter turnout, and won.
She’s a dedicated organizer, activist, and attorney who supports workers
rights, Medicare for All, and a Green New Deal. With longtime Democrat
Mike Doyle retiring, Summer is running to bring her progressive vision to
Pennsylvania’s 12th district.

If elected, Nida Alam will be the youngest woman ever elected to Congress
at just 28 years old, and the first Pakistani-American member. Nida is
running in North Carolina’s open 4th district seat.

In 2020, Nida ran an unprecedented progressive campaign for Durham County
Commissioner, where she became the first Muslim woman elected to public
office in North Carolina and where she fought to raise the minimum wage
and provide property tax relief for low-income people. Now she is ready to
fight for a progressive agenda in Congress.

Jessica Cisneros was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, right on the
border. Her parents immigrated to Texas to start a new home for her
family. Jessica wanted to be part of solving the problems she saw up close
– so she became an immigration and human rights attorney.

Jessica is running against Henry Cuellar, the last anti-abortion
“Democrat” in the House who (prior to being challenged by Jessica) voted
almost 70% of the time with Donald Trump.

Last cycle, Jessica was massively outspent, but only lost by about 2,700
votes – a gap that can easily be closed with your support. So it’s up to
us to ensure Jessica gets the surge of grassroots donations she needs
today to win the runoff election coming up on May 24.

None of these candidates are taking a dime of corporate PAC money. Just
like Alexandria’s, their campaigns are powered by the people.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a contribution to elect Nina, Summer, and Jessica to
Congress? 100% of your donation will go directly to their campaigns so
they can organize and get their progressive message out before the
primaries.

We’re so grateful to all of you and for your willingness to give $5, $15,
$50 at a time to make incredible things possible. We’ve beat the odds
before, and together we can do it again.

In solidarity,

Team AOC
