Monday Nature Mystery
We are pleased to announce the winner of our last Monday Nature Mystery, Nishtha Iyer! Please email us your snail mail address and preference for a hat or tote bag to: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]?subject=Monday%20Nature%20Mystery%20Winner!)
Congratulations to Nishtha for correctly identifying the Six Spotted Tiger Beetle (Cicindela sexguttata). According to our friend Bill Young, six-spotted Tiger Beetles are most commonly seen in sunlit areas near woodlands from spring through early summer. They like dirt paths where they can hunt caterpillars, ants, spiders, and other types of arthropods.
