BREAKING NEWS: At least 13 people were killed and more than 40 others injured in shootings across the country this weekend. Friend, Sadly, the rise in violent crime in America over the weekend has wreaked havoc on many of our poorest and most vulnerable neighborhoods — from Buffalo to Sacramento, Dallas to Norfolk, and Shreveport. These crimes are horrific and senseless.  We all deserve to live in safe and secure communities where we have the right and freedom to speak freely, protest peacefully, and express our beliefs openly. And that requires law enforcement officers to protect all of us. This National Police Week, join us in supporting the safety and security of our communities, and calling for civility, order, and peace in our neighborhoods.  Speak up and add your name to the petition to: Support the safety and security of our communities, as well as justice and peace for all.  Reject attempts to demonize, defund, abolish, and harass the police.  Demand that our elected officials take greater actions to protect our communities from violence.  Condemn any actions taken by law enforcement officers and people in power that maliciously manipulate, skirt, or break the law.  Friend, it’s important that we speak up and support the safety and security of our communities.
