I really wanted to check in with you today because there's been a massive
development in our race and New York's electoral landscape. Here's the
latest update:

John, these newly
drafted district maps are vastly different from the ones we built our
campaign around earlier this year. But if we can muster the resources and
mobilize our base — especially ahead of our $9,000 mid-month fundraising
deadline tonight — we'll have the grassroots power to win our race. [ [link removed] ]Can

Not only does this map cut out a large part of Jamaal's supporter-base in
the historically Black Co-op City, they've also removed Jamaal's middle
school CASA from the district. Overall these new maps equate to a 17% drop
in total Black population in the district. Take a look:

Make no mistake,
John: the decision to re-draw
our district lines was made to break up long-time connected Black
neighborhoods and dilute Black voter power — all at the hands of
Cuomo-appointed conservative judges who are fighting against our vision.
It's crucial that we advocate to keep Co-Op city and other historically
Black neighborhoods in our district and ensure that we have the support we
need to keep Jamaal in Congress.

But we have one thing that our opponents and the establishment don't: the
power of our grassroots movement. They know that when young people,
working people, people of color, marginalized and underrepresented people
come together — we will win.

Now more than ever we need to galvanize the resources to fight back
against these new levels of voter disenfranchisement — and that takes your
