I’m sad and I’m angry. Here’s why:

On Thursday, Stefanik said she is “ultra-MAGA” and “proud of it.”

Stefanik Tweet: "I am Ultra-MAGA and I'm proud of it!"

On Friday, Stefanik advocated that babies who are in US custody at the border be denied baby formula, effectively starving them–in violation of basic morality and US law.

Stefanik Tweet: "Joe Biden continues to put America LAST by shipping pallets of baby formula to the southern border as American families face empty shelves. This is unacceptable. American mothers and their babies shouldn't suffer because of the #BidenBorderCrisis."

Later that day, she blamed Democrats and “pedo grifters” for the nationwide baby formula shortage–in a dog-whistle to QAnon conspiracy theorists.

Stefanik: "The White House, House Dems, & usual pedo grifters are so out of touch with the American people that rather than present ANY PLAN or urgency to address the nationwide baby formula crisis, they double down on sending pallets of formula to the southern border. Joe Biden has NO PLAN."

On Saturday, a white nationalist targeted a Black community and murdered ten people. He was radicalized and motivated by the “great replacement theory,” the heinous theory that says that immigrants and people of color are going to “replace” white Americans. Earlier this fall, Stefanik promoted replacement theory in a fundraising ad.

Today, she double-downed on replacement theory.

Stefanik: "Democrats desperately want wide open borders and mass amnesty for illegals allowing them to vote. Like the vast majority of Americans, Republicans want to secure our borders and protect election integrity."

Stefanik, the elected official who represents my home and who is the chief communicator of the House Republican conference, said these things.

Stefanik has always been unfit to hold elected office, but her behavior over the past 96 hours totally disqualifies her. She is one of the most dangerous Republicans in the country. She knows exactly what she is doing, and is doing it only to benefit herself.

Let us turn our sadness and righteous anger into action. Let us, together, work to remove Stefanik from office to protect our country and our neighbors.
