At New Politics, we’re finding the next generation of transformational leaders. Not only do we seek out servant leaders – like former military, AmeriCorp alumni and community leaders – we help them run by giving them access to the essentials they need.
I am the first witness and #1 fan (maybe #2, after Emily) of our mission here at New Politics. After graduating from Howard University, I was fortunate to become a mentor for the Black Male Mentorship program and a recruiter for Kipp DC. Now, I’m proud to find and recruit community leaders who are ready to make change on a larger scale.
After we meet and have the first conversation with military, AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, or other service members, our job at New Politics is to connect them to industry leaders, help them build the campaign infrastructure they need to run, and support them as individuals by sticking by their side for every challenge that comes with running for office!

We see what happens when leaders put politics over people and threaten our democracy and the wellbeing of our communities – gridlock and partisanship prevent us from getting things done.
That’s why we’re aiming to recruit 150 candidates to run in the 2022 midterm elections, and will build and foster a network of talent that will allow us to increase our impact this year and in 2024.
Whether you’re trying to get a sense of how you can lay the groundwork for a run in 4-5 years or urgently looking for a staffer for your imminent campaign, we’ll work with you to build a successful effort that’s authentic to your leadership mission and core values.
