This weekend, hundreds of thousands of folks across the U.S. marched for reproductive rights. I was here in Cedar Rapids firing up activists and making sure that our collective voice was heard on this life-and-death issue.

But before I spoke to a massive CR crowd about the right to choose, I was a guest on Othered: The Podcast with Caleb Scales and Sarah Van Cleve. We spoke about what the leaked SCOTUS draft means for Iowans and what we can do to fight back. Listen to our conversation today.

Reproductive healthcare is a human right which underlies so many other issues we care about. but at the core, this is an issue of whether or not women, and people who can become pregnant, are treated like full citizens of the U.S., entitled to privacy and bodily autonomy.

For 8 years, I’ve been fighting for justice in the State House. Whether it’s reproductive health, voting rights, workers rights, standing up against big-ag and their ag-gag laws, or speaking up for trans kids, I have always stood on principle. I’ll keep doing that in the Senate.
