I don’t know if you do this, friend, but I live and die by my calendar. If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t exist.
And since the Iowa Legislature gaveled in for its first day, I’ve had the 100th day of session – and the day that legislators have historically adjourned for the summer – marked on my calendar.
But then Tuesday, April 19 rolled around and Kim Reynolds and Iowa Republicans were still discussing the best way to starve our public schools. Then they moved those discussions behind closed doors. And now, it’s the middle of May and no one has any idea when they’ll even be back in Des Moines.
Iowans are tired of Republicans’ political games and secret meetings. We need a change and we need it now.
This fall, we can elect Iowa Democrats that have their communities’ best interests at heart. Can I count on you to rush a donation of $20.22 right now to support folks running to lift up working families? [[link removed]]

With Iowa Democrats in charge, we can raise wages, invest in public education, and clean up our waterways. Help us make that future a reality – chip in whatever you can right now to build the momentum we’ll need this fall. [[link removed]]
Let’s do this, friend.
