With the Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, I will do everything in my power to ensure Washington protects the right to choose for everyone, including those fleeing persecution in other states.

Today I sent a letter to our medical commissions seeking protections for abortion providers who face prosecution and other sanctions from states that have criminalized abortion.

Our medical commissions are responsible for licensing physicians and nurses in our state. We must send a clear message: No doctor, nurse, or other medical professional should be denied a license for providing essential health care services that are legal and protected in Washington.

Please sign if you agree that if Roe v. Wade is overturned, Washington should serve as a sanctuary for individuals and medical providers who are persecuted in other states for exercising their constitutional rights, and providing reproductive health care services.

I will never stop fighting for Washingtonians' right to choose, and for others coming to our state seeking essential health care.
