Hi Friend --
These past months, we’ve all watched
the threat of nuclear war increase. It is a scary time, but we are
coming together in Vienna to do something about it. We’re mobilising
an even bigger event in Vienna than we first planned.
To respond to this threat and mobilise a big movement opposing
it, we’re putting together a full week of events around the First
Meeting of States Parties. Starting with a civil society forum before
the MSP starts. The ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum will be held on
18-19 June in Vienna and online.

This meeting will be an opportunity
for both experienced campaigners and people who are just discovering
this threat right now to come together, learn from each other and get
organised for fighting back!
We need to urgently counter these
threats by mobilising everyone to stigmatise threats, use and
possession of these horrific weapons and for all governments to join
the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
Registration opens today, and you
can read more about the Forum, as well as the Austrian-hosted
conference on the humanitarian impacts of nuclear weapons (20 June)
and the First Meeting of States Parties of the UN Treaty on the
Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (21-23 June) on vienna.icanw.org
Go here to register for in person or digital
participation for the ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum.
It sure feels like very dark times,
but we are so happy that you are part of the movement that is working
tirelessly to stop these weapons from being used.
We hope you will join us in Vienna
or from home.
