POLICY CORNER

K-12 AANHPI Curriculum Development Project

This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, OCA is participating in Give in May; A nationwide giving campaign formed by the Asian Pacific Fund, AAPI Data, Asian Pacific Community Fund, Korean American Community Foundation, and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy to support AAPI non-profits.

Our K-12 Task Force is working hard to ensure that OCA is one of the leaders in pushing culturally relevant curricula in our nation's schools. We are in the final stages of completing our K-12 AANHPI Curriculum Project, where we will host a database of AANHPI curricula that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive into classrooms nationwide i
n collaboration with the student-run organization Diversify Our Narrative and The 1882 Foundation.

Getting that curriculum into classrooms depends on your support. One way you can show up for the students, parents, educators, and advocates leading this effort: donating to OCA's Give in May campaign!
