Susan and I want to wish all North Carolinians a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a special holiday for me, and I am thankful for the chance to represent our great state in the Senate.
Last week, I joined U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao to announce a $10 million grant for the Asheville Regional Airport. I am proud of our work to secure this grant as Western North Carolina continues to improve its infrastructure and welcome people from all over the world.

North Carolina also received a $17 million grant for the North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office to help recover from Hurricanes Florence and Michael. I have worked hard to secure as much relief funding as possible, and this grant will help as we continue to recover from these devastating storms.
