Lauren Boebert is infamous for all the worst reasons: refusing to wear a face mask in the House chamber during a devastating global pandemic; Congressional Zoom meetings in front of the wall of guns in her house as gun violence is on the rise; live-tweeting Speaker Pelosi’s whereabouts as insurrections breached the Capitol and threatened to kill her; posing for photos with those seditionists; or her Islamophobic comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar.
The list only grows — but it doesn’t have to be this way. This Colorado district is purple.
In fact, Boebert only won the seat by a few percentage points. And it was one of the closest races in 2020. Now, even her own supporters have changed their minds about her. Those who voted along party lines are distancing themselves. They see her – and her treasonous behavior – as an attack on their traditional values.
