Working to Preserve the American Dream
How Jack Miller and the JMC are Investing in our Civic Future

In 1956, Jack Miller started an office supply business, Quill Corporation, with a phone in the back of his dad's poultry shop. Over the years, he and his brothers grew it into one of the largest office products distributors in the nation. After selling it in 1998, he said he wanted to give back to the country that had made his success possible.

Jack became concerned about the degradation of civic education and how that was affecting our country. He worried whether future generations would have the same opportunities to achieve their own dreams if we did not do more to educate our young people. So, Jack decided to take action and build the Jack Miller Center to create change.

Now with hundreds of like-minded donors and a national network of over 1,000 college educators, we are improving civic education in classrooms across the country, from K-12 through college.

Jack remains focused on finding solutions to our national education crisis. He is an active part of the Jack Miller Center as a donor and Chairman of the Board, and a central part of our organization's work to transform civics around the nation. Following Jack's leadership and example, we aim to dramatically expand the size of our programs and our organization over the next four years and invest in results.

Please consider joining Jack and many other donors around the country and invest in the Jack Miller Center.

The challenges are not going away. But JMC is poised to meet and beat those challenges. We are one of the few organizations with “boots on the ground,” that can make it happen. Thank you for supporting us in this important work.
