John — in less than 24 hours, polls will open for the 2022 Senate primary in two top battleground states, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Hundreds of thousands of votes have already been cast by mail and at early voting locations.
CNN is calling these open races two of the most likely to flip blue this year, which is why Republicans are already playing defense.
Donald Trump has chosen his favored, right-wing candidates in both races — Dr. Oz and Ted Budd — and has even rallied for them in the past few weeks. GOP groups are pouring in millions of dollars to support their Republican candidates in the race.
