David Gauke, and Fine Gael TD for Dublin Rathdown Neale Richmond
discuss the UK Government’s moves to abandon the Northern Ireland
Protocol and break an international treaty
Join us on Tuesday from 8.30 - 9.15 am on this link.
Following the US intervention on UK
Government plans to override parts of the Northern Ireland Protocol
and break its international commitments, the UK Trade and Business
Commission, for which Best for Britain is secretariat, is holding an
emergency session on the diplomatic fallout.
Featuring a stellar panel, the
session will explore the political and diplomatic repercussions of the
UK taking a unilateral decision to renege on its first major
post-Brexit trade treaty. With the UK relying on the promise of future
trade deals as one of the big opportunities of Brexit, how will
today’s brinkmanship play out for Britain’s international
reputation?
To watch the session simply
click on the link below at 8.30 tomorrow morning. You will be able to
send comments and questions in so do get thinking!
The looming crisis over the
Northern Ireland Protocol threatens to compound existing issues,
including our domestic cost of living crisis and our ability to
challenge Putin as part of a united front with Europe. If you want to
hear from the experts and understand the nuances of the political
crisis we’re facing, make sure to tune in on Tuesday
morning.
Best wishes,
Naomi
