With the Supreme Court poised to overturn Roe v. Wade and wipe out abortion access for folks across the nation, including right here in Wisconsin, passing my legislation to protect a person’s reproductive rights couldn’t have been more important. But last week, every single Republican Senator blocked our efforts to do so — and they’ve made it clear that they won’t stop there.

If Republicans reclaim the Senate majority, Mitch McConnell says they’ll pass a nationwide abortion ban. We can’t let that happen.

In order to protect our rights against right-wing politicians and make the progress our working families are counting on, we not only need to protect, but expand our Senate majority. And right here in Wisconsin, we have an opportunity to flip the seat of an anti-choice Republican Senator.

The American people didn’t elect the first Democratic-controlled Congress in over a decade for us to stall on our agenda. It’s time we deliver on the progress the majority of Americans want — like safeguarding reproductive rights — by protecting and expanding our slim Democratic majorities.
