We wanted to make sure you saw Sam’s email from yesterday. Today is make-or-break for us. It’s May 15 and depending on what we raise by midnight tonight will decide what course we take over the next couple of months.
It’s critical we hit our goals every single month. We know folks are tired. We are too. Campaigning can be really hard work, but when we think of everything that’s on the line for us, we can’t afford to come up short now. There is no way we can allow someone like Derrick Van Orden to win this November.

We are only halfway through the month – but so much has happened. In the past two weeks, The Atlantic reported my opponent as one of the most dangerous Republican candidates running for office and that he was placed on probation for carrying a loaded gun in an airport. On top of that, a Supreme Court leak revealed that SCOTUS intends to overturn Roe v. Wade, instantaneously stripping millions of women of their reproductive freedom.
The hard truth? Derrick Van Orden only lost by 10,000 votes in the last election – and he's outraised me every month so far. We know he is not someone who would ever confirm another Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to SCOTUS.
Do you want him in Congress? No. Of course not. Neither do we.
That’s why it’s critical to hit our goals every month. And here’s the thing: as Brad’s finance director, I know when we’re there and we are nowhere near close to where we need to be for May.
So much is on the line – and we know more bad news is coming down the pipe, so we’ve got to have enough funds to mobilize and respond as quickly as possible. We’re just over $2,000 short. Will you chip in $5 right now or whatever you can do to defeat extremism by midnight tomorrow and help us hit our mid-month goal?
Even with the recent news stories destroying our opponent, Van Orden still has plenty of funding from dangerous super PACS to potentially win this November. That’s terrifying, folks.

We need to turn this month around and finish strong, because when things get hard – we fight harder. With your help, we will keep one of the most dangerous extremists out of office and keep Wisconsin’s Third District in the hands of a Representative who truly cares about it.
