I’m reaching out to ask you to split a $5 donation between Tim Ryan and my campaign now that he’s officially our nominee for Ohio’s Senate seat. But first, can you give me a chance to explain why your support is so important — especially today?

With a right-wing majority on the Supreme Court taking aim at abortion rights and signs that LGBTQ rights could be next, it just got even more urgent that we expand our Senate majority.

Tim’s kicking off the general election and facing off against far-right extremist JD Vance, who has no business being anywhere near the U.S. Senate.

When news of the Supreme Court’s draft opinion broke, JD Vance’s response was to double down on banning abortion, describing pregnancies resulting from rape or incest as "inconvenient."

It’s painfully clear that a 50/50 Senate is not cutting it, but flipping this seat in Ohio can change that by giving us another vote to end the filibuster. So I need to ask:

Can you please split $5 between Tim Ryan’s campaign in Ohio and my efforts to hold and expand our majority? I would not ask if it were not so important.

Look, Tim Ryan has a real shot to flip this seat if we have his back. Tim is a great friend and candidate who knows how to win tough races in Ohio.

Meanwhile, JD Vance is completely out of touch with working families. He’s even said himself that he feels “out of place” in Ohio.

So far his campaign has been propped up by Donald Trump’s endorsement and over $13 million in super PAC spending from his billionaire friend Peter Thiel.

And we know McConnell and Senate Republicans are ready to jump in any second with their own super PAC spending. They will spend whatever it takes to try to hold this seat.

But JD Vance is absolutely beatable. He’s out of touch and his extreme far-right views are toxic. So it’s our job to make sure Tim Ryan has the resources to be ready for whatever comes his way.

Please split a $5 contribution between Tim Ryan’s campaign and my work to hold and expand Democrats’ Senate majority. Every dollar will be put to work to stop Republicans at the ballot box this year.
