After far-right Republicans in the Senate blocked the Women’s Health
Protection Act from receiving a vote, we’re left with few options in the
fight to protect access to abortion care and reproductive freedom.
Inevitably, for the time being, this fight will turn to the states – where
a patchwork of bills and legislation will determine whether safe and legal
abortion care remains accessible to millions of people.

But this fight is far from over. There are tools at our disposal that can
help reverse the extreme and barbaric attacks on reproductive freedom from
far-right legislators. It’s going to take advocacy from people just like
you.

access to abortion care? How are you willing to fight back against the
far-right efforts to overturn Roe and ban abortion? Take our new survey

Q1: A draft Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade has been
covered in great detail by media outlets. Do you expect that the final
opinion (due in June) will be less severe or just as bad as the draft that
was leaked?

little changed. >>

◯ I expect the final opinion to be narrower than what was leaked due to
the public backlash. >>

Mobilization efforts at the state level are already underway, but we must
not lose sight of one of the best opportunities we’ll have to hold the
elected officials accountable who are opposed to abortion care: turning
out the vote in the upcoming elections!

Make no mistake, the Far Right will do everything possible to expand their
numbers in Congress and pass a nationwide abortion ban if Roe is
overturned. We must grow the Democratic majorities in both chambers so
that we can continue pushing for a federal law protecting access to
abortion care.
