Following Teacher Appreciation Week, educators from across the state came together and endorsed Governor Laura Kelly for re-election this fall, hoping to avoid a return to the Brownback "tax experiement" if Schmidt were to win. 

 

Schmidt was Brownback's right-hand man during his two terms as he gutted public education funding in favor of tax cuts for the wealthy. We won't go back to the Brownback era.
