Friend,

This is the time of year when we think about the past year and contemplate what we are thankful for and what the next year of our lives is going to look like.

While I haven’t spent much time yet thinking of the future, I have spent a lot of time thinking about the past, and more specifically the past year.

And one question keeps coming to mind. What am I thankful for?

I am excited about many things, but overall I am thankful for having a Democratic majority in the House.

Do you know why I am excited about our majority? I am excited because we have been able to pass many bills that aim to protect everyone, such as, access to healthcare, election reform, and so much more.

These bills have been held up in the Senate by the GOP majority, and once we take back the Senate in 2020, we will be able to pass these bills. But only if we keep the House, which means keeping this district.
