๐ The good news:
Bathing season! Get your swimmers on. From 15th May to 30th September, England marks its designated bathing season - the only time of year that bathing waters are monitored and tested for water quality.
BUT...
๐ The bad news
Heaps of sewage that doesn't go away. It doesn't happen less during bathing season - the only difference is that we know about it. ๐คฎ It's in our rivers and in our ocean.
Did you know that of over 600 designated bathing waters in the UK only two are located in rivers? Not good enough!
So, what can you do about it? Speak up for our rivers and demand government action to protect our blue spaces. WE'RE CALLING FOR 200 RIVER BATHING WATERS BY 2030.
