John,
This Friday kicks off another week of global climate strikes. All next week, young people in over 3000 cities worldwide will be walking out of school and work to demand our leaders take immediate action to stop the climate crisis.
Next week, millions of people will be striking in over 3000 cities around the world. Note: the links in this email go specifically to the US strike map, which is why not all these global strikes are reflected there.
Here in the US, young people across the country will be targeting their local politicians with sit-ins, office takeovers, banner drops, and more. Together we’ll send a message that any politician who wants our generation’s votes in 2020 must enthusiastically champion a Green New Deal--our lives and futures depend on it. Join us: click here to get all the details for your local strike.
This strike is coming at a key time, because Super Tuesday--the biggest day for primary voting in the 2020 elections--is less than 100 days away. That means that right now politicians everywhere are watching to see what voters care about, and shaping their policy around what they see. This strike is our chance to cement the Green New Deal at the top of that list.
Join thousands of young people across the country in telling politicians everywhere that if they want our generation’s support in 2020, they must champion the Green New Deal. Attend your local strike on Dec 6th--click here to get all the details.
Once you’ve signed up (or if you can’t attend a strike), help make the strikes as massive as possible by forwarding this email to your friends and family so they can connect with their local strikes.
If thousands of us turn out in every corner of the country on Dec 6th, we can make headlines that will put the Green New Deal at the center of the national political conversation right as primaries are heating up--making our movement impossible for politicians to ignore.
In solidarity,
Victoria Fernandez
