Team, Last week, a panel of Trump appointed federal judges ruled that Florida can temporarily reinstate its voter suppression laws ahead of this year’s midterm elections. Among the many anti-voting measures, the rulings allow Florida to curb voter-registration drives, minimize the amount of ballot drop boxes available, and criminalize assistance to Americans standing in line waiting to vote.
Time and time again, claims of voter fraud have been disputed, and still, the GOP is focused on silencing Black and Brown voters. These provisions in the Florida law do nothing to improve the administration of elections – they only create barriers to voting that harm communities of color and other frequently disenfranchised voters.
