I'm going to ask you to officially endorse my campaign to unseat Kevin McCarthy in California's 20th District. We have just entered critical weeks before the Primary Election, so I hope you'll let me explain why your endorsement is so critical -- especially right now.
Mail-in ballots ahead of the June Primary are hitting voters' mail boxes across our district in CA-20. As a reminder, we are the Democratic frontrunners in this race, and the ONLY campaign endorsed by the California Democratic Party to oust Kevin McCarthy.
We have an uphill climb, John, but there's a reason why folks believe in our campaign. Our district has been left behind for too long while McCarthy does Trump’s bidding and jockeys for the Speaker's gavel. After he was caught lying in the aftermath of Jan 6th, even Republicans are beginning to grow frustrated with his complete lack of leadership.
There's no more powerful way to hold McCarthy accountable than by challenging him at the ballot box, and as we enter the next stage of this campaign, I need to know you're with me:

This goes without saying but I'm not a politician, and I never dreamed of running for Congress, especially after being a teacher for more than two decades.
