Registering often ignored and neglected communities of color and the youth in Pennsylvania is a core part of our work, but it means nothing if we don’t also get them to show up and vote in every election — twice a year.

Too many of Pennsylvania’s youth and voters of color are neglected from the democratic process as a result of lack of engagement with non-voters and those who inconsistently vote. Neglecting these communities is a self-fulfilling prophecy, as constituents who are not engaged tend not to exercise their right to vote. Newly registered voters are the least likely to go out and vote, but that is where our work is different from others. We are conducting year-round, consistent engagement, following up to be sure these new voters have the necessary information to make their voices heard.

That’s why we set a goal to raise $2,500 by midnight tonight to help us fund full-scale organizing in our communities. But as things stand, we’re not on track to hit it. Can you make a contribution today to help us reach our goal and organize to our fullest capacity through the 17th?
