CLCV Member,
We’re on a countdown of less than 11 years to act on the climate crisis
before it’s expected to worsen beyond repair, and the actions of the Trump
Administration and Big Oil are shortening the clock.
[ Donate ]This upcoming #GivingTuesday, we need your support to change the
political landscape to make transformative climate action possible. Will
you help us grow our movement by donating to CLCV?
We’re launching [ Donate ]CLCV’s Climate Action Fund next Tuesday to support our
agenda for 2020, including:
* Developing and electing environmental champions during California’s
primary in March—leaders who will help us pass a bold policy agenda
* Enacting stronger environmental protections in CA
* Making civic participation and voting more accessible for everyone in
the Golden State
* Fighting off the influence of Big Oil and other corporate polluters in
our government
We need your help more than ever. The Trump Administration recently
announced the opening of 1 million acres of public lands in California to
oil drilling and fracking. It’s an irresponsible and dangerous move that
ends a 5-year drilling moratorium in our state and is yet one more direct
attack of many on California’s environment.
I joined CLCV a couple of months ago as Philanthropy Director because I
know we are not in ordinary times. The welfare of our communities, way of
life, and our planet are on the line. The only way to protect our future
is to take bold action now. That requires increased and adequate funding
to match our adversaries and empower our environmental champions.
[ Donate ]CLCV represents a community who cares about clean air, clean water, and
outdoor spaces. Can we count on your ongoing participation by providing a
special gift on #GivingTuesday?
CLCV Member, we cannot do this work without you. We need you now more
than ever. Join our movement to fight off Big Oil and Trump.
Together, we can grow CLCV’s Climate Action Fund and take bold action
needed to address this crisis.
Thank you, in advance, for standing with us,
Sean McManus

We believe that radical change is necessary and only by transforming our political system will we create the opportunity to take bold action on climate change. We elect and cultivate environmental champions, turn election victories into policy wins, hold our lawmakers accountable, and build political power for change. We inspire hope and action and fight for equity and justice for all Californians. We are in the business of changing what’s possible.
