John,

This week the Government set out their priorities for the year ahead.

There was no mention of mass insulation of homes to cut back on carbon emissions and soaring fuel costs and keep people on low incomes warm, during what looks set to be a long, bleak winter.

Instead, they prioritised criminalising activists who glue or lock themselves to buildings in protest at the failure of politicians and energy giants to ditch our addiction to fossil fuels and address the climate crisis.

We deserve better. We must do better for now and future generations. Can you donate to our campaign to build fairer and greener communities?

Local councils have a vital role to play delivering net zero in towns and cities and protecting the most vulnerable in our communities. Take Lewes where Greens are working with neighbouring councils to insulate 40,000 homes with a one billion pound fund.

The Green Party now has over 500 councillors in a position to lead, influence and hold to account 166 councils across the country.

Let’s support them stand up for local people and the environment and build fairer and greener communities across England and Wales. We have never been better placed to do it!

Thanks for your support.

The Green Party
