Introducing UNICEF's 2019 Photo of the Year:

Friend, UNICEF supporters have spoken and we have a winner.

Our 2019 photo of the year put a smile on our face. This snapshot helps bring to life the story of school children in Côte d'Ivoire. It's where UNICEF is teaming up with Conceptos Plásticos to turn plastic waste into recycled bricks.

What do those bricks mean for children in a country where two million struggle to attend school? They, amazingly, helped build 500 new classrooms! This photo captures the excitement of children who now have a space to learn and grow, all thanks to this community.

Friend, help raise awareness about the work we do to aid the world's most vulnerable children. Take a moment to spread the word and share this photograph >>
