Look, Democrats here in Washington and across the country should be darn proud of our record. Our state has weathered the COVID-19 pandemic better than many. And while COVID exacerbated the challenge of homelessness, we took on the challenge directly this legislative session. We invested in community-based policing to keep our neighborhoods safe. We put our families ahead of political games.

But with Republicans focused on criminalizing abortion, demonizing our teachers and scientists, and pursuing a backwards agenda -- we're up for a tough fight.
