Friend,

This week, Republican representative Madison Cawthorn called out our aid package to Ukraine, tweeting "Imagine if we spent $40 Billion on veterans."

So I wanted to clear a few things up:

1. A few weeks ago, Republicans were demanding we send aid to Ukraine, claiming we weren’t doing nearly enough -- they’re just mad because Democrats got it done. 

2. At almost the same time, 174 Republicans, including Cawthorn (who went so far as to clean his firearm during the hearing), voted against a bill to provide medical care to veteran burn pit victims.

3. Democrats increased funding to $270 billion for veterans last year. 

MAGA Republicans claim they want to be the party of veterans, but I’m a veteran -- who unlike Rep Cawthorn didn’t lie about getting into the Naval Academy -- and I’m here to tell you that they aren’t fighting for us. They’re more interested in blocking our agenda than they are in getting anything done.

So if you care about veterans -- and/or if you’re sick of the GOP’s hypocrisy -- I hope you’ll split a donation between my re-election campaign and my PAC, which is committed to electing Democrats and holding the House.

Unlike Cawthorn and MAGA Republicans, we’re fighting for you.
