CTV applauds all the incredible foster parents who sacrifice and provide loving care and nurture to these precious children in the foster care system. Click here to read the declaration. "They’re all our children," says Joe Biden at Teachers of the Year Event At the 2022 National and State Teachers of the Year Event, Joe Biden made some concerning comments regarding Michigan students. "They’re all our children," he said. "The reason you’re the Teachers of the Year is because you recognize that. They’re not somebody else’s children; they’re like yours when they’re in the classroom." The idea that our children belong to the state is repulsive and wrong. As Emilie Kao says in her Newsweek article, "parents have a 'fundamental right' to direct the care, upbringing and education of their own children." Click here to read more. Pro-Life Update US Senate Rejects Radical Pro-Abortion Bill CTV is thankful that Republicans of the United States Senate, as well as Democrat Joe Manchin, have rejected the most radical pro-abortion bill ever written! The bill would have gone far beyond putting Roe v. Wade into law, setting a terrifying precedent for "abortion on demand," and gutting 1st amendment protections for religious liberty. Thankfully, this distortion of justice and rights will not come to fruition, but the fight isn't over. Click here to read more. Governor Whitmer Pledges to Fight for Abortion in Michigan After the recent leak of the U.S. Supreme Court's potential decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Governor Whitmer declared she will continue to "fight like hell" for the right to kill innocent human beings via abortion. Michigan's attorney general, Dana Nessel, says she will not uphold the 1931 Michigan statute outlawing abortion in the event that Roe v. Wade falls. For our own attorney general to refuse to uphold Michigan law is inexcusable. On top of all this, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have launched a petition drive to enshrine abortion in our State Constitution. The battle lines are drawn. The issue will be in the hands of Michigan voters. Will we choose life, or will we choose death? Everyone who upholds the sanctity of life should go to the polls and vote their values! Ladies and gentlemen, staying home is not an option this year! Click here to read more. Election Integrity Update Governor Rejects Election Integrity Bill After already vetoing several other common sense election reform bills, Governor Whitmer has rejected another bill that would inform absentee ballot applicants that they can't vote more than once. Reminding citizens that they cannot vote more than once poses no threat to anyone's ability to vote and is simply another effort to bolster faith in Michigan elections, especially as November approaches. This is voter information, not voter suppression as the Governor claims. Click here to read more. Student Statesmanship Institute Discount Looking for an unforgettable experience this summer?
