Our country is at its strongest when our small businesses and working families have the resources they need to grow and thrive. Friend, I know this because I've lived it – and that's why I fight for working families every day.

Some of you may not know this, but I helped build and run several small businesses right here in Southeast Pennsylvania. I built them from start-up to national and multinational organizations. From scaling a sports apparel and footwear company, to launching a non-profit organization that certifies and recognizes companies that not only do well but do good, to leading a nonprofit that helps underserved students build their literacy skills – I know what it takes to work hard and start from scratch.

Anyone who runs a business of any size will tell you: It's not easy, but it's worth it.

When I was helping manage and grow businesses, I sometimes found myself as the only woman and mother in the room. So I made it my priority to take care of the growing team. I made sure we had things like on-site nursing rooms and generous health care and parental leave. And now, decades later, I'm still advocating for these issues.

When working families succeed, America succeeds, and in my time in Congress, I've never stopped fighting for working families. I've led efforts to secure paid parental leave for all federal employees, to ensure loan forgiveness for small businesses struggling during the pandemic, and to raise the federal minimum wage – because everyone deserves to thrive.

The last two years have no doubt been difficult for small business owners and working families. And while I'm dedicated to rebuilding our country's economy, the Republican Party is focused on enriching their special interest donors and obstructing our democracy.

That's why I'm reaching out to you today, friend. Your support is critical if we're going to win reelection and keep PA-06 blue. Election Day will be here before we know it, so we can't lose our momentum as we fight back against the GOP's destructive agenda. We've made so much progress for Pennsylvania together – and now I need you to help me win so we can keep making progress.
