John,
In response to the news that the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, the King County Council just voted to express support of Roe v. Wade and abortion rights. Every member of the council voted to pass this measure – except Reagan Dunn, one of Kim's Republican opponents.
Reagan Dunn and the three other Republicans running against Kim have all made it clear that their views on reproductive rights are out of line with what the majority of voters in our district – and country – support.
No matter which Republican candidate Kim faces in November, she'll be up against an anti-choice opponent who will go along with their party's extreme positions in Congress if they flip this seat red. We can't afford to let that happen, especially after Mitch McConnell said a nationwide abortion ban is "possible."
Access to abortion isn't just at stake for people living in red states – everyone is at risk of losing the right to make their own reproductive health care decisions. That's why it's never been more important that we elect pro-choice leaders this November.
As the only pro-choice woman doctor in Congress, Kim is fighting back against attacks on reproductive rights. She helped pass legislation last year that would codify Roe into federal law, but she needs your help to ensure she can keep fighting.
Will you rush a donation before our mid-month fundraising deadline to help protect Kim's seat so she can continue fighting to defend reproductive rights?
