Dear Friend--
One of the biggest travel days of the year will no doubt find some of us braving traffic in places like the Schuylkill Expressway or the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Our travels will deliver us to wonderful destinations -- like the shores of Erie or the hunting grounds of God’s Country. However you get to wherever you’re going, I want to wish you and your family safe travels, and a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Our state is unlike any other. No matter which part of the state we live in, natural beauty abounds. Whether steeltown cityscapes, farmlands, or mountain villages, the places we call “home” were built over hundreds of years, they’re steeped in history, and on track for a better future. We have so much to be thankful for as Pennsylvanians, and as we come together to give thanks this Thursday, it would be a perfect time to remember those who serve us. We owe so much to the hard work and dedication of our first responders and military members at-home and abroad.
If you are someone who has served us, thank you. Your sacrifice makes Thanksgiving possible, a debt we may never be able to repay, but for which we offer our heart-felt thanks. You are in my family’s thoughts and prayers in a special way this Thanksgiving.
From my family to yours, please have a blessed and restful Thanksgiving.
