I’m excited to make my debut for #GivingTuesday!
Hi Friend,

I’m Ingrid Lopez and I am the new Administrative Assistant at the
Institute for a Progressive Nevada (IPN)! I’m very excited to work for an
organization that does so much for my community and works on such a wide
variety of timely, relevant issues. The members of IPN put the pedal to
the metal and I am so lucky to be part of the family! 

Activism is so important to me because I was born in a country that
experienced challenges with corruption and extreme poverty. My mom wanted
me to have a bright future, so we immigrated to the United States. Now
it’s my turn to make her proud and give back to the community that I love!

The work we do for IPN would not be possible if it was not for you. This
#GivingTuesday, [ [link removed] ]please consider giving to our organization. My ‘why’ is
for the kids in cages. While everyone else is eating a warm plate,
laughing across the table, and sharing stories, these kids will be sitting
in a cold cage with tears running down their sweet, round faces. And yet,
they are hopeful for a future without wired fences. My ‘why’ is for the
hopeful. The tears we shed don’t make us weak, they make us human. We know
that radiating hope will cast out the negativity and hatred of today. 

My ‘why’ are for organizations like IPN. We are human beings who care
about the future of our Nevada, and have come together to bring awareness
to injustice. We continue to do our work but we cannot do it without you.

wait to meet you all as we do this work together to build a more
progressive Nevada!
