This week, NM-02’s far-right Rep. Yvette Herell once again voted against critical emergency aid for Ukraine as the nation continues to face Putin’s brutal invasion, killing thousands of civilians.

And this isn’t the first time Herrell joined other Putin Republicans in opposing aid to Ukraine. She voted against providing Ukraine support back in March, and also voted against upholding the democratic principles outlined in NATO.

While her recent anti-democracy votes are disturbing, they’re not surprising: here at home, she voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election results as her very first vote in Congress, and cheered on the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol in the January 6 insurrection. One of her “proudest endorsements” came from an insurrectionist convicted for raiding the Capitol.

Unlike Herrell, who votes with and cozies up to dictators and insurrectionists, in Congress Gabe will stand up for democracy both here and abroad.
