Take Action

HelloFresh doesn’t want you to know it’s profiting off a system that boils birds alive.

Word is spreading fast. Major players in the food industry are struggling to defend their support of a brutal slaughter system that boils birds alive.

That includes some big brands that should know better—like HelloFresh.

It pains me to write this, because we believed that HelloFresh was one of the “good ones.” They know full well the suffering caused by live-shackle slaughter, and they publicly committed to stop it.

Today—years after making their commitment—birds are still suffering. Still being jammed into shackles. Still being hung painfully upside down. Still being boiled alive when the system fails…

Will you join me in demanding that HelloFresh honor its promise to chickens?

DEMAND CHANGE

Live-shackling is an archaic slaughter method that is sheer torture at every turn. But together, we can end it.

Earlier this week, I shared the troubling news that 5.3 million hens were roasted alive in an effort to contain the avian flu outbreak.

I can’t shake the feeling the sum of these problems points to something much bigger: Our food system is fundamentally broken. Corporate greed reduces animals to expendable commodities, rather than the sensitive, unique individuals that they are.

Together, you and I are fighting hard to change that reality. In solidarity, I know we have the power to influence brands like HelloFresh and others to do better for chickens—and all animals.

Thank you for being a steadfast advocate for vulnerable beings.

P.S. Every day that live-shackle slaughter is allowed to continue, more than 1,000 birds risk being boiled alive. Adding your voice to this demand for change can make all the difference.
