ICYMI: Sharice went on MSNBC this week to discuss the proposed Kansas constitutional amendment that would open the door for abortion bans and put women's lives in Kansas at risk.
In a conversation with Ali Velshi, Sharice said: “We’re about to decide in August whether or not our children have more rights or less rights than we do right now — and I can’t overstate the importance of this.”
She’s right. The decisions we make today will determine our children's future, starting with electing strong pro-choice candidates into public office. As Republican legislators around the country gear up to pass restrictive anti-abortion bills, we have to hold the House majority to stop a nationwide abortion ban.
Ali Velshi said it best: “What happens in Kansas does influence the rest of the country right now.” The choices we make in Kansas will have wide-reaching consequences for our children and the rest of the country, and it’s on each and every one of us to fight back against this proposed constitutional amendment and use our voices for good.
