In case you missed it, Wisconsin’s Republican congressional delegation sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland calling on him to launch a federal investigation into the horrific domestic terrorist attack on Wisconsin Family Action, a pro-life organization. A fringe-left group called “Jane’s Revenge” has taken credit <[link removed]> for the attack, and “[demanded] the disbanding of all anti-choice establishments, fake clinics, and violent anti-choice groups within the next thirty days.”

The letter to Garland — signed by Reps. Bryan Steil (R-Janesville), Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau), Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah), Tom Tiffany (R-Hazelhurst), and Mike Gallagher (R-Alouez) — and accompanying press release are a stern rebuke of the liberal politicization of the Attorney General’s office.



“Rather than focusing on defusing threats against Americans for their political beliefs, the Department of Justice has, in the last 17 months, spent time and resources to target conservatives while taking a hands-off approach to left-wing violence,” the letter states.

In their letter to Garland, the lawmakers note that they have heard from pro-life clinics in Wisconsin that have concerns about the security of their facilities and staff.



“In response to the unprecedented and clearly politically motivated leak of the majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson, abortion supporters across the country have engaged in animated and even violent activity,” the lawmakers write. “We have seen mobs outside of the homes of Supreme Court Justices attempting to harass, intimidate and influence the legal proceedings of the justices.”



The House members say they are particularly concerned that rhetoric from some has escalated the rage and hostility. They point to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and his threatening comments in March 2020 when he declared, “I want to tell you (Justice Neil) Gorsuch. I want to tell you (Justice Brett) Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”



Republicans will always stand against violence, and we will stand firm in our belief that life is precious and worth protecting. Meanwhile, Democrats in Washington have exposed themselves as radical abortion extremists. Every Senate Democrat, with only one exception, voted for the most extreme pro-abortion bill in the history of the U.S.
