Don’t miss your chance to shape the elections to come

Dear John,

Don’t forget to vote this Tuesday, May 17!

Primary elections traditionally get much lower turnout rates than the general election, and as a result, candidates with more extreme views tend to get a disproportionately higher level of support. In some cases, primaries are the best opportunity to influence what kind of leader your state or district will elect. The first step toward building a more unifying and constructive politics in America is to vote—every chance you get.

Before you head to the polls, make sure you’ve researched the people on your ballot. One resource you may find helpful is this new Extremist Tracker, where you can learn more about the spread of radicalism among candidates for office in your state and around the country.

Thank you in advance for participating in our democracy!
