Kyle Hupfer speaks with Peter Zampa of Gray Television's Washington News
Bureau about the 2022 primary elections and the enthusiasm among
Republicans.
Wednesday's consumer price index report showed inflation
continued to barrel ahead in April, increasing to 8.3% from a year ago
and remaining at a near 40-year high. The day before, at his disastrous
speech on inflation, Joe Biden said he wouldn't predict when prices will
start to come down. Apparently, it could be by the end of this year or
it could go into next year...he's really not quite sure.

And quite
truthfully, it's probably best that he didn't try to predict when
inflation will start to come down. After all, he still can't even
honestly say what the primary driver of inflation has been. If you
remember, he first said inflation was "transitory," then that it was
"good" and just an "upper class problem," then that it was because of
corporate greed and "big meat," and then because of Vladimir Putin, and
then because of...Republicans?

Of course, Americans are seeing right
through the charade.

In a recent CNN poll, Joe Biden's approval
rating on the economy continued its downward trend. An astounding 66% of
respondents disapproved of his handling of the economy and only 34%
approved. And even worse for him and the Democrats? Fifty-five percent
of respondents said that his policies have made economic conditions
worse while only 19% said that his policies have made them better.
And just yesterday, Vox (yes, that Vox) put out an article titled
"Biden’s American Rescue Plan worsened inflation" that stated "good
intentions don't always make good policies" and that "it’s important to
avoid policies that could make it [inflation] a much worse problem."
When a Joe Biden has lost even a publication as far-left leaning as Vox,
you know things are bad.

Americans are tired of the economic pain
that Democrats are causing and threatening to make worse with their
tax-and-spend policies. Republicans are fired up and ready to put an end
to this madness.

When Democrats say that their plan is "working,"
believe them. This pain is the point of their policies, even as our
economy teeters on a recession.

Holcomb's Week That Was Discussing Rural and Regional Development
Yesterday, Gov. Holcomb joined IU Center for Rural Engagement Executive
Director Kerry Thomson for a chat at the Center's fourth annual
conference in French Lick, Ind., to discuss Indiana's rural
opportunities and his 2022 Next Level Agenda, including the READI
initiative and community connectivity.

The READI program, first
announced at Gov. Holcomb's State of the State address in 2021 as the
Next Level Regional Recovery Program, is providing $500 million to
regions across the state to advance quality of place, quality of life,
and quality of opportunity.

magnetic places to call home, visit, move, build a business, or raise a
family." — Gov. Holcomb
Sen. Young Opposes Pro-Abortion Bill on
the Senate Floor [link removed]
On Tuesday, Sen. Todd Young spoke on the Senate floor in
opposition to legislation the Senate will vote on tomorrow to block
states from protecting the unborn and enshrine late-term abortion into
federal law.

In his remarks, Young discussed the importance of
supporting pregnant women and unborn children.

You can watch his full
speech by clicking above, and some excerpts are below.

“Despite what
these advances in modern science tell us, the current abortion policy in
the United States is more in line with China and North Korea."

"We
are one of only seven countries around the world that allow abortion to
take place past the point at which a baby can feel pain in the womb."
"Some Americans might be surprised to learn that even in progressive
Europe, 47 out of 50 countries have limits on abortion after 15 weeks."
