Helping form engaged citizens who want to make a positive difference in the world is one of our priorities at the Christian Century. We want to inspire creative thinkers and doers who are unwilling to sit on the sidelines of life.
When political extremism delivers blows to democracy, I know we think first of protecting voting rights. That’s critical, of course. But democracy also depends on institutions of integrity that provide transparency, good information, and the truth. This includes institutions of faith. At the Christian Century, we’re committed to journalism that doesn’t soft-pedal democracy, but one that builds a world where everybody deserves a seat at the table.
