I know I already emailed before, but I wanted to check in again quickly.

Yesterday, I wired $100,000 more to the TV stations to keep our second ad campaign up against Chuck Grassley.

I’ll be honest: It was a very difficult decision. We don’t fully have the money in our budget to be going up with more TV ads this early – but we also don’t really have a choice.

If Admiral Mike Franken is going to defeat Chuck Grassley and protect our Democratic Senate majority this November, we have to keep introducing him to voters now. McConnell’s got tens of millions of dollars sitting in a Super PAC just waiting to attack us, and we have to beat him to the punch. There’s just no other way to win.

The polls show Mike can defeat Grassley and turn Iowa blue, but only if we get up on the air now. So I made the decision and wired the money, hoping I could count on grassroots donors like you to help us make up the difference.

We’re less than 24 hours from our most important fundraising deadline yet, and we still need to raise another $27,500 to hit our goal and close this budget gap. If we fall one dollar short, we’ll be forced to scale back our buy – or worse, pull our new ads off the air.

Please, can we count on you to chip in $5 or more right now – every dollar you can spare before our critical fundraising deadline – to keep our ads on the air, help Admiral Mike Franken defeat Chuck Grassley, and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate?

I don’t like taking risks like this, but it’s the only way Mike’s going to defeat Grassley. And for the future of our democracy, we must win.
